Ron El’s Comic Book Trivia Free Book Contest

Image    Although I should have probably posted this here sooner, the 4th volume of Ron El’s Comic Book Trivia was released on January 26, 2013.  And today all four volumes of the series were made available for free download on Amazon.  If you were following my Facebook or Twitter pages, you would already have known all about that.  I just neglected to post it here.  You may still be able to get in on the free downloads by visiting here:

Ron Glick In Kindle Books

If you missed out, or even if you didn’t, here’s how I am going to make it up to you.  I am going to start posting trivia questions *not* yet published to this forum periodically.  Each question will have the opportunity to be answered in the comments.  The first person who posts a correct answer will get an entry into a contest for a free autographed paperback copy of Ron El’s Comic Book Trivia Volume 1.  The contest will run until the date of the release for the next volume of the series (presently scheduled for release by April 7, 2013).  All of these questions will be from the content of Ron El’s Comic Book Trivia Volumes 5, so you will in effect be getting a sneak peak of the upcoming volume (and yes, all of those questions are already written) – and people will not be required to make a purchase to participate.

Because this is not a speed-entry format, spelling and specifics are important.  If there are multiple characters of the same name, you must specify which one you are naming.  For instance, if the answer is Robin, you will need to specify which Robin (I, II, III, IV, V, or alternate future/reality version).  I will post the winner of each question, so if you do not see a post from myself, assume the question has not been answered correctly yet.

One final rule: members of The Creators guild on The Settlers Online (past or present) are disqualified from this contest, as they have already been provided these answers.

So it’s time to bookmark this page so that you can check daily for new trivia questions.

    Good luck!

Progress on Godslayer

It never fails that life gets in the way when you want to move forward, but at the same time, it is equally inescapable the sense of accomplishment you get when you get even one step closer to the end of your journey – even if it is one of only the first steps.

What brings upon the nostalgia?  Well, if you must know, I just finished the first chapter of Two, the second volume in the Godslayer Cycle.  True, this is only two steps so far – Prologue and Chapter 1, but it’s progress, right?

Also on my plate is the completion of the fourth volume of my comics series, Ron El’s Comic Book Trivia, which I plan to have finished by tomorrow, so it will be available for download by the weekend.  And why is that?  Why, because the 50th online comic book trivia contest I host is at that time, and it’s important to me to have the volume completed by then.

After that deadline, it’s all Godslayer, all the time.  So sit back and enjoy all – it’s gonna be a rocky ride for Ol’ Nate and Bracken.  Oh, and did someone see the Witness running around?

Godslayer Cycle revisited

Now that the work of The Wizard In Wonderland is complete, I am once again free to delve into my own realms – which means I am now at work on the long-awaited sequel in the Godslayer Cycle – Two.

The world is changing as new Gods are proclaimed and others begin to die.  Nathan will begin to feel the full spectrum of power the swords collectively hold as those who have sat idly by for centuries are beginning to get wind of the changes that are in the wind – Enter the demigods!

I have to admit, getting back to work on Godslayer has been exhilarating.  I have already written the Prologue and am preparing to start work on the first chapter later today.  But the prologue has some special hints of what is coming as well as provides an essential key to where the Gods themselves come from.  And I am so excited that I am offering anyone who asks a special sneak peak at the book.

That’s right – I will send a PDF copy of the Prologue to anyone who responds to this post.  Basically, just ask and it’s yours for the preview.  How cool is that?

To request, just send an email to ron_glick@yahoo.com titled “Preview Request”.  Do this, and you will have a copy of the Prologue in your hot little hands within 24 hours.

Look forward to hearing from you all very soon!

The Wizard In Wonderland has been released!

Wizard - Alice (Final) Wizard - Dorothy (Final 6)

My latest novel – the first book in my new Oz-Wonderland Series – is now available in both print and Kindle editions!  And of course, the print editions will now officially open The Wizard In Wonderland Limited Edition Contest, as well.  There are two editions to the print edition, providing equal exposure to the two heroines of the story, while there is only the primary (Alice) cover for Kindle.

Here is a description of the book:

Dorothy Gale has been to some strange lands, but none as unexpected as 19th century Oxford, England. Yet this is exactly where Dorothy meets Alice Liddell, a young woman with her own fanciful stories of a place called Wonderland. Alice finds herself pulled into Oz to face a new Wicked Witch, while Dorothy must follow the Wizard into a Wonderland civil war. Unknown to either girl though, plots have arisen against both faery lands, and they must uncover the hidden history shared between these lands if they are ever to set things right again.

Written with a faithful eye to the original Baum and Carrol classics, The Wizard In Wonderland reveals the secrets of Oz and Wonderland in a story that brings together both classic heroines in a new epic adventure.

Copies of The Wizard In Wonderland may be purchased through the following links:

The Wizard In Wonderland (Cover A)

The Wizard In Wonderland (Cover B)

The Wizard In Wonderland (Kindle Edition)

This project was much more involved than I originally planned on, so there has been more investment in this book than any of my previous ones.  I am looking forward with great anticipation to your feedback.
